Rebecca Pyun은 몰입형 스토리텔링, 윤리적 디지털 보존, 그리고 문화유산 복원을 전문으로 하는 교육자이자 디지털 아티스트, 학자이다. 노스캐롤라이나 대학교 그린즈버러 캠퍼스(UNC Greensboro)에서 뉴미디어 & 디자인 미술학사(BFA)를 취득하고, 노스캐롤라이나 주립대학교(NC State)에서 아트 + 디자인 석사(MAD) 학위를 받았다. 현재는 노스캐롤라이나 주립대학교에서 디자인 박사(Doctor of Design) 과정을 밟고 있다.
그녀는 역사를 가르치고 소외된 서사를 보존하는 상호작용형(인터랙티브) 경험을 창작한다. 애니메이션, 실시간 게임 엔진, 그리고 커뮤니티 협업을 윤리적 스토리텔링 및 교수법과 결합하는 작업을 이어오고 있다. 그녀의 프로젝트들은 창작과 놀이, 비판적 참여를 통해 학생들의 학습을 촉진하는 한편, 이들이 문화를 보존하고 문제의식을 가지도록 이끈다.
Rebecca Pyun is an educator, digital artist, and scholar specializing in immersive storytelling, ethical digital preservation, and cultural heritage reconstruction. She earned her BFA in New Media & Design from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Masters of Art + Design from North Carolina State University. And currently is a Doctor of Design candidate at North Carolina State University.
She creates interactive experiences that teach history and preserve marginalized narratives. Rebecca blends animation, real-time game engines, and community collaboration with ethical storytelling and pedagogy. Her projects fosters learning for students through making, play, and critical engagement while inspiring them to preserve culture and bring awareness.
