Fading Tales는 다큐멘터리가 아니다. 패션과 시각적 스타일의 미세한 프리즘을 통해 바라본 중앙아시아의 유목 정신과 카자흐 문화에서 영감을 받은 영화이다. 이 영화는 한 여성이 사라지기 전의 꿈을 회상하는 목소리를 따라간다. 숨겨진 관찰자가 그녀의 파편화된 기억들을 담아내어 네 개의 영화적 장으로 번역한다. 이 영화는 과거를 기억하는 것이 현재의 우리를 인도할 수 있는지 질문한다. 자연이 가장 솔직한 스토리텔러가 되는 카자흐스탄 알마티 지역의 광활한 풍경 전체에서 촬영되었다.
Fading Tales is not a documentary — it’s a film inspired by the nomadic spirit of Central Asia and Kazakh culture, viewed through a subtle prism of fashion and visual style. It follows a voice — a woman recalling her dream before it fades. A hidden observer captures her fragmented memories and translating them into four cinematic chapters. The film questions whether remembering the past can guide us in the present. Shot across the vast landscapes of Almaty region, Kazakhstan, where nature becomes its most honest storyteller.

Yernur Bashpay는 카자흐스탄을 기반으로 활동하는 영화 감독이자 Plan B Films의 공동 창립자이다. 촬영 감독으로 처음 여정을 시작한 그는 과감한 실험성과 세련된 상업적 기교를 결합하여 연출에 강한 시각적 감수성을 가져온다. 그의 작업은 영화적 스토리텔링부터 패션 중심의 시각적 작품에 이르기까지 다양하며, 주로 기억, 정체성, 그리고 중앙아시아의 유목 정신이라는 주제를 탐구한다. Yernur Bashpay는 삼성, 현대, LG, Artlist와 같은 글로벌 브랜드는 물론 카자흐스탄의 주요 아티스트들과 협업해 왔다.
Yernur Bashpay is a Kazakhstan-based film director and co-founder of Plan B Films. Originally starting his journey as a cinematographer, he brings a strong visual sensibility to his directing, blending bold experimentation with polished commercial craft. His work ranges from cinematic storytelling to fashion-driven visual pieces, often exploring themes of memory, identity, and the nomadic spirit of Central Asia. Yernur has collaborated with global brands such as Samsung, Hyundai, LG, Artlist, as well as leading artists in Kazakhstan.
