Itaewon Film Festival (ITF) is an international film festival based in Seoul, South Korea, dedicated to celebrating diverse voices in cinema. Open to filmmakers of all backgrounds and nationalities, ITF creates a platform for stories that explore belonging, identity, and community under the theme, “You’re Home.”
Launching its inaugural edition in November 2025, ITF was started by five filmmakers with a shared mission: to foster local arts and cinema while cultivating a space for community-driven cultural events. At its core, the festival seeks to be more than just a showcase of films—it aims to open a safe and inclusive space where artists can express themselves freely, challenge norms, and connect with audiences on a deeply human level.
이태원영화제(Itaewon Film Festival, ITF)는 서울을 기반으로 한 국제 영화제로, 영화 속 다양한 목소리를 조명하는 데 초점을 두고 있습니다. 모든 배경과 국적의 영화인들에게 열려 있는 ITF는 ‘You’re Home’이라는 슬로건 아래, 소속감, 정체성, 공동체에 대한 이야기를 담은 작품들을 소개하고자 합니다.
2025년 11월, 제1회를 맞이하는 이태원영화제는 다섯 명의 영화인이 뜻을 모아 창립하였습니다. 지역 예술과 영화 문화를 진흥시키고, 커뮤니티 중심의 문화 행사를 만들어가는 것을 목표로 하며, 단순한 영화 상영을 넘어 예술가들이 자유롭게 의견을 표현하고 기존의 틀을 넘어설 수 있는 안전하고 포용적인 공간을 지향합니다.
