Synopsis 시놉시스
모든 것이 산림 파괴되고 오염된 디스토피아적 미래, 아마존 한가운데서 할아버지와 함께 살아가는 소녀 야치(Yatsi)가 사는 마을이 있다. 어느 날 할아버지의 건강에 큰 이상이 생기고, 야치는 할아버지를 구할 수 있는 신비로운 열매를 찾아 떠나야만 한다. 독성으로 가득 찬 강을 따라 여정을 시작한 그녀는 길에서 자신을 추격하는 강 속의 존재들과 직면한다. 야치는 목적지에 도달하기 위해 자신의 꿈속에 등장하는 상징들에 의지해야만 한다.
In a dystopian future where everything is deforested and polluted, there is a village where Yatsi lives, a girl who survives with her grandfather in the middle of the Amazon. One day something breaks in him and Yatsi will have to go in search of a mysterious fruit that could save him. She will journey through a toxic river, but on the way, she will meet river beings who pursue her. Yatsi will have to rely on the symbols of her dreams to reach her destination.

팔레르모 대학교(University of Palermo) 디자인학 학사를 취득했다. 주페루 프랑스 대학교의 장학금을 받아 고블랭 영상학교(Gobelins, L'École de l'image)에서 수학했다. 페루의 아마존, 안데스, 해안 지역에서 진행된 프로젝트를 통해 socio-environmental(사회·환경적) 문제, 원주민 정체성, 성평등을 다루어 왔으며, 자기표현의 도구로서 참여형 영화를 활용해 자신의 완카(Wanka) 유산과 대중문화를 탐구한다. 멘도사 필름 랩(Mendoza Film Lab)과 볼리비아 랩(Bolivia Lab) 등의 레지던시 프로그램에 선정된 바 있다. 현재 페루 문화부로부터 제작 지원금을 받은 작품인 《Yatsi and the Spirit of the River》와 다큐멘터리 《쿰비에라(Kumbiera)》를 연출하고 있다.
Bachelor’s degree in Design from the University of Palermo. She studied at Gobelins, L'École de l'image with a scholarship from the French Embassy. Her work explores her Wanka heritage and popular culture through participatory cinema as a tool for self-representation in projects developed in the Amazon, Andes, and Coast of Peru, addressing socio-environmental issues, Indigenous identities, and gender equality. She was selected for residencies such as Mendoza Film Lab and Bolivia Lab. She is directing Yatsi and the Spirit of the River and the documentary Kumbiera, both awarded grants from the Ministry of Culture of Peru.
Valeria Salinas
시각예술 학사를 취득하고 스톱모션 애니메이션 및 제작 석사, 촬영학 석사 학위를 받았다. 비주얼 아티스트, 애니메이터, 감독, 프로듀서, 연구원으로서 독립적으로 활동하고 있다. 문화 기획자로서는 페루 내 여러 도시에서 애니메이션 워크숍을 개최하며 교육 공간을 마련해 애니메이션 교육의 대중화에 기여하고 있다. 쿠스코 스톱모션 페스티벌(Stop Motion Festival)의 창립 멤버이며, 단편 영화 《Yatsi y el espíritu del Río》의 감독이자 페루 최초의 스톱모션 장편 영화 《파차 푸릭쿠나(Pacha Puriqkuna)》의 프로듀서를 맡고 있다.

As a cultural manager, she produces education spaces that democratize animation training in Peru, developing animation workshops in different cities. Founding member of the Stop Motion Festival in Cusco. Director of the short film “Yatsi y el espíritu del Río” and producer of Pacha Puriqkuna, the first stop motion Peruvian feature film.
