나화진은 미국 미시간주 그랜드래피즈를 기반으로 활동하는 감독이자 사진가, 다학제 예술가이다. 1984년 미국으로 이주한 한국인 부모를 둔 2세대 한국계 미국인이다. 2019년 Sony Music UK와 RCA Records의 의뢰를 받아 Au/Ra의 싱글 「Assassin」 뮤직비디오를 연출하며 감독으로 데뷔했다. 2021년에는 세계 최대 예술 경연대회인 ArtPrize에서 영상 프로젝션 설치 작품 「Project Unity: 10 Miles of Track in a Day」로 Installation Jury Award를 수상했다.
Hwa-Jeen Na is a director, photographer, and multi-disciplinary artist based in Grand Rapids, MI. He is a second-generation, Korean-American whose parents immigrated to the United States in 1984. His directorial debut was commissioned by Sony Music UK and RCA Records in 2019 for Au/Ra's single, "Assassin." In 2021 he won the Installation Jury Award in ArtPrize (the world's largest art competition) for his video projection installation piece "Project Unity: 10 Miles of Track in a Day."
